Make a Download Folder in Windows

To make a special folder for storing your downloaded programs (or for pointing
your Web browser's Save File dialog box to), follow these four steps:
1. In File Manager, click on the root directory (usually C:\).
2. Select File/Create Directory.
3. Enter the word Download to name the directory.
4. Click OK.
That's all. Now return to The Beginner's Guide to Downloads.

To make a special folder for storing your downloaded programs (or for pointing
your Web browser's Save File dialog box to), follow these four steps:
1. In Explorer, click on the root directory (usually C:\).
2. Right-click on the right-hand pane of the Explorer window, and select New/Folder.
3. Right-click on the folder labeled New Folder, and select Rename.
4. Type the word Download over the folder's current label, and press Enter.
That's all. Now return to The Beginner's Guide to Downloads.
Make a Download Folder on the Mac
To make a special folder for storing your downloaded programs (or for pointing
your Web browser's Save File dialog box to), follow these four steps:
1. Make sure you're in the Finder (click on the desktop until you see the icon of the computer in the upper right corner).
2. Under the File menu, select New Folder.
3. Click once on the new folder's label.
4. Replace the contents of the label with the word Download.
That's all. Now return to The Beginner's Guide to Downloads.
